Paul Winkels is the Principal and Founder of Clio Capital Partners. He is a seasoned professional, having held executive roles across a wide range of industries and sizes of businesses. Paul is a CPA, CA by profession and has significant experience raising capital and managing growth. His career has spanned roles in a variety of service, manufacturing, and technology businesses.
Paul has a degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. He qualified for his CPA, CA designation with PwC, having worked in their international and M&A tax consultancy group. Paul’s most recent previous role was CFO of Quark Expeditions, a KKR-owned travel expedition company taking passengers to the remote Antarctic and Arctic regions on specialized cruise ships. Prior to Quark, he was the CFO at Temporal Power, a clean-technology company backed by Elliott, Northwater, and Enbridge that designed and built energy storage systems and also provided related engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. His first role post-PwC was at Digital Cement, a digital marketing agency with a technology-as-a-service platform that was acquired by Pitney Bowes Software.
