Paul Winkels is the Principal and Founder of Clio Capital Partners. He is a seasoned professional, having held executive roles across a wide range of industries and sizes of businesses. Paul is a CPA, CA by profession and has significant experience raising capital and managing growth. His career has spanned roles in a variety of service, manufacturing, and technology businesses.
Sage Capital Partners is the first institutional fund in Canada focused on search funds. Based in Toronto, Sage was founded and is led by Jon Piurko and Glen Silvestri. Sage is a lower mid-market focused private equity fund established to invest in and support searchers seeking to acquire small and medium-sized private Canadian businesses (SMEs). Through its support of the Canadian search market, the investment funds managed by Sage have acquired a portfolio of SMEs primarily headquartered in Canada and occasionally in the US.
Mario is a Toronto-based partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity & Venture Capital groups at Stikeman Elliott LLP. He has extensive experience working with private equity and venture capital firms including search funds on numerous acquisitions and dispositions. He also has extensive experience collaborating with owner-operators across numerous industries who are looking at selling their businesses.
